Spring Break: March 26 Copenhagen

First thing to do in Copenhagen is of course to rent bikes. Erica and I rode around the entire city all day knowing almost nothing about the damn place. We figured it out as we went, and has an amazing time.

First stop was this military base with these perfectly square bunkers and many small rivers (and a pretty windmill).

We found some more cannons.

Look at those hills :)

Erica tried to roll down the hill and touch the water, but a guy with a gun yelled at her. She scampered back up like the monkey she is while the army dude yelled in Danish.

This place is so bike friendly that there is a special bike ramp to make it easy to walk up stairs.
Next stop is the statue of the little mermaid. P.s. internet, I just watched Ponyo, which is the Japanese version of the story. It's awesome.

We then biked to the palace- I think.
Some douche Brit and a Danish guard.
Nyhavn, this 17th century waterfront, which was quite beautiful. It was less viking like than Norway, but still pretty awesome. There were a lot of cute pubs and some hooligans.

We found a park that looked right out of The Little Mermaid scene. This one!

Maybe this is the palace...

We crossed the river and found some more neat stuff as the sun began to set.

I learned about this place after we returned and I watched this episodes of Weeds.

Where Have I Been?
