It once was permanent.

Three years ago I nailed a sweet job. I was fresh out of college when I began my career as a high school English teacher. I grew as a professional, made connections, and thought my life was settled.

This year- I was canned! NBD (no big deal) because I am still young and generally awesome. I figured that I would give up on teaching, for now, and try my hand at coaching. Perhaps I could even obtain a GA position and get my masters. I began searching and applying to almost any college lacrosse jobs.

After about a month of fruitless effort, I discovered an interesting ad on the NCAA web site. Durham University, a college in the UK, was offering a masters scholarship for a lacrosse goalie. I read the advertisement numerous times, and I realized that this was on opportunity to play. This is unheard of because there is almost no competitive play exists after college for almost any female sport.

I applied, and one hour later I got a response. My adventure begins a few months later...
